An experienced commercial property lawyer, David advises clients in both the private and public sectors, dealing principally with property acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant transactions.

After graduating in Law from University of Wales, Cardiff in 1991, he qualified as a solicitor in 1994 with Morgan Bruce (now Morgan Cole). In 1995 he joined Bevan Ashford and became a founding Partner of MLM in May 2001 when it was formed to acquire the Cardiff office of Bevan Ashford.

David advises landlords and mobile telecommunications operators in the disposal and acquisition of sites for mobile phone masts, licensed trade clients in the acquisition and disposal of public houses and licensed premises, and handles general commercial property work including the acquisition and granting of business tenancies.

David also has experience in advising NHS bodies across England and Wales. He has advised on the disposal of surplus NHS property, the acquisition of new sites for hospitals and other health service facilities, the funding of Care in the Community projects in association with Housing Associations, Section 28 and Section 64 payments/grants, the leasing of Health Centres to GP's and NHS Trusts, the granting of Assured Shorthold Tenancies, and advises on liabilities arising from statutory regulations including those relating to fire and gas.

David has also developed expertise in income generation schemes. These schemes have involved the leasing of health service facilities to cellular telecommunications operators and advertising companies to provide considerable additional income.

Married with three young sons and living in Cardiff, David's hobbies include watching rugby, military history and the motor industry.
