After graduating from University College, Cardiff in 1981, Jon qualified with Morgan Bruce & Nicholas (now Morgan Cole) in 1984. He then spent nine years at Eversheds (Phillips & Buck) in Cardiff (five as a Partner), four years as a Partner with Rubin Lewis O'Brien in Cwmbran and three years as a Partner in Bevan Ashford where he headed the company and commercial unit in Cardiff.

Specialising in company and commercial work throughout his career, Jon has handled a wide range of corporate and commercial/contractual transactions for clients in both the private and public sectors. His experience and expertise includes a very substantial number of company and business sales and acquisitions, management buy-outs, corporate re-organisations, refinancing and restructuring including the banking and security related issues, shareholder agreements and partnerships.

Jon also has vast experience in venture capital financing transactions, acting for equity funds providing seed and development capital predominantly for telecommunications technology companies and acting also for companies in all sectors raising equity finance.

Having led the buy-out from Bevan Ashford and the establishment of the new practice as MLM, Jon has the role of Managing Partner as well as his role as head of the firm's company and commercial team.

Married with two young children, Jon lives in Cardiff and his recreational interests include playing golf and tennis and watching football and rugby.
